Building your online presence

:: Conception to Completion
Close contact between the customer and a professional designer is the most important aspect of the web site design process to ensure YOU, the customer, acquire the completed results you expect. Below you will find an organized list of steps that will help guide you through the construction and development of your online presence.
:: Why do I need/want a website?
This is the first question you should ask yourself. It is important not only to you as a company, organization, or corporate business to understand your online needs, but also critical for the designer to understand your desire to have an online presence.
:: Free initial consultation.
After you have determined your online needs a free initial 1 hour consultation will be arranged either via phone or in person, depending on the geographical location.We will travel in a 50 mile radius of Rochester New York. During this session we will discuss what is necessary to provide your online needs. If you don't already have a domain name (also called a url or web address) we will work with you to choose an appropriate and available name. We will also discuss what your company or organization will use the website for and let you know what will be expected from you as a company or organization to develop your web site.
:: Identify target market.

Identifying your target market at the beginning of construction is a critical component to the structure of a robot friendly site for proper search engine optimization (seo). This will ensure the necessary key words are incorporated into the body of your site as it is constructed to get positioning on the first or second page of the major search engines.
:: Gather information.
At this point the client will supply the designer with body text and images that will be incorporated in the site. To ensure the set deadline is met, it is important the client supply these materials in a timely manner.
:: Skeletal site layout.
Construction of your site will begin with a skeletal layout including a navigation system, image placeholders and body text. The site will be put on an online ftp site for client review. At this time basic layout design will be fine tuned through client/designer consultations.
:: Site construction.
The designer will complete the development of the site and submit a final product to the client for proof reading and approval on one of our test servers. Any changes to the site will be made at this time and resubmitted to the client.
:: Going live.
Upon site completion and final payment, the site will be put live on the world wide web.
:: Site submission.
Once the site is live it will be submitted to the top ten search engines for inclusion. Additional site submission, optimization, and internet marketing can then be administered by the client or under a separate search engine optimization (seo) contract.
