There are many reasons you may want to load a module in an article. Joomla 1.5 has a cool little feature that allows you to change the name of the module position to whatever you like. This enables you to create a new position that iwould not be used in any template. It also has a built in plugin called Content - Load Module that is the magic behind this working.

Below you will find a step by step tutorial on this procedure.

  1. Locate the module you would like to insert in an article.
  2. Select the radio button to the left of the module and go to the top of the page and click Copy
  3. A copy of the module will be created directly above or below the original.
  4. Double click on the module name and open the module.
  5. Under Details you will see Position:
  6. Change the position to a unique name.
  7. Remember this name because you will be inserting this in the article.
  8. Open the article you wish to place the module in.
  9. Whereever you want the module to be positioned type:
  10.  { loadposition the_name_you_used_in_6 }           (You must remove the space betewwn the first bracket and the L and at the end remove the space between the 6 and the bracket)
  11. Make sure you remove the quotes. The quotes are so the code shows up here.
  12. Check your site and the module should be loaded in the article.

Make sure the Content - Load Module plugin is enabled in the plugin section.
