Conception
to Completion Close customer/designer contact
is the most important aspect of the design process to ensure YOU,
the customer, aquire the completed results you expect. Below you
will find an organized list of steps that will help guide you
through the construction of your online presence.
Why do I need/want
a website?
This is the first question you should ask yourself. It is important
not only to you as a company or organization to understand your
online needs but also critical for the designer to understand
your desire to have an online presence.
Free initial consultation.
After you have determined your online needs a free initial 1
hour consultation will be arranged either via phone or in person,
depending on the geographical location.
Identify target
market.
Identifying your target market at the beginning of construction
is a critical component to the structure of a robot friendly
site for proper search engine optimization (seo). This will
ensure the necessary key words are incorporated into the body
of your site as it is constructed.
Gather information At this point the client will supply
the designer with body text and images that will be incorporated
in the site. To ensure the set deadline is met it is important
the client supply these materials in a timely manner.
Skeletal site layout Construction of your site will begin
with a skeletal layout including a navigation system, image
placeholders and body text. The site will be put on an online
ftp site for client review. At this time basic layout design
will be fine tuned through client/designer consultations.
Site construction The designer will complete the development
of the site and submit a final product to the client for proof
reading and approval. Any changes to the site will be made at
this time and resubmitted to the client.
Going live Upon site completion and payment the
site will be put on the world wide web live.
Site submission Once the site is live it will be submitted
to the top ten search engines for inclusion. Additional site
submission and optimization can then be administered by the
client or under a separate search engine optimization (seo)
contract.
