This is the first question you should ask yourself. It is important
not only to you as a company or organization to understand your
online needs, but also critical for the designer to understand your
desire to have an online presence.
-
After you have determined your online needs a free initial 1 hour
consultation will be arranged either via phone or in person, depending
on the geographical location. During this session we will discuss
what is necessary to provide your online presence. If you don't
already have a domain name (also called a url or web address) we
will work with you to choose an appropriate and available name.
We will also discuss what your company or organization will use
the web site for and let you know what will be expected from you
as a company or organization to develop your web site.
-
Identifying your target market at the beginning of construction
is a critical component to the structure of a robot friendly site
for proper search engine
optimization (seo). This will ensure the necessary
key words are incorporated into the body of your site as it is constructed.
At this point the client will supply the
designer with body text and images that will be incorporated in
the site. To ensure the set deadline is met, it is important the
client supply these materials in a timely manner.
Construction of your site will begin with
a skeletal layout including a navigation system, image placeholders
and body text. The site will be put on an online ftp site for client
review. At this time basic layout design will be fine tuned through
client/designer consultations.
The designer will complete the development
of the site and submit a final product to the client for proof reading
and approval. Any changes to the site will be made at this time
and resubmitted to the client.
Upon site completion and payment, the site
will be put live on the world wide web.
- Site
submission
Once the site is live it will be submitted
to the top ten search engines for inclusion. Additional site submission,
optimization, and internet marketing can then be administered by
the client or under a separate search engine optimization (seo)
contract.

The
use of Flash
Animation has it's place on the web.
In recent years, as Flash as become more popular, new web designers
use it as often as they can because it's fun. This is true, Flash
is fun, but it can also be annoying if every time a customer clicks
back on a page with Flash, the animation runs. Especially if the animation
is put in a loop, meaning it runs over and over. It can be very distracting
when the customer is trying to read something of importance. Always
consider your customer or visitor when using Flash. Remember, You
want to keep visitors interested your pages and coming back.
