I am pleased to report that 2005 has been a successful year. Markin Tubing has encountered many of the same challenges experienced by other manufacturers including increasing raw material prices and record high fuel and utility prices.
The resourcefulness of the “Markin Team” has enabled us to meet these challenges and grow even stronger. Capital expenditures of the past several years have increased our product offerings and capacity resulting in new customers and market opportunities.
We continue to invest in the company with a multi-million dollar capital commitment to be completed by the end of the first quarter 2006. Included in this project is a new Galfan coating line, upgrades to our existing Galfan lines and upgrades to other equipment. This commitment to our products strengthens our position in the low-carbon steel tubing market. Our recognition of the automotive industry requirements for cost effective products has allowed us to partner with suppliers to provide quality steel tubing that satisfies customer requirements.
Markin Tubing is also willing to partner with companies to produce fabricated materials to eliminate steps in the supplier chain.
